Do You Have a Swarm?
A Swarm of Bees Moved In? We Can Find Them A Better Neighborhood.
A bee swarm looks dramatic — a buzzing cloud of thousands of bees descending on your yard. But here's the thing: a swarm is actually one of the most docile moments in a bee's life. They're homeless and focused on finding a new home, not on you.
Here's what to do:
- Stay calm and give them space. Watch from a distance — they're fascinating, not dangerous.
- Don't spray them with water, pesticides, or anything else. Just leave them be. (Pun intended.)
- Wait and watch. Swarms often rest for a few hours and move on naturally. If they're gone by morning, problem solved.
- Call us if they stay. If the swarm starts settling into a tree or structure — a wall, chimney, or roof cavity — that's when you want a beekeeper involved. The sooner the better.
